Claims clearinghouse Change Healthcare recently experienced a cyber security issue that may have affected your practice's ability to submit patient claims and prior authorizations. The spring months are a great time to celebrate dental professionals. March 6th is National Dentist’s Day, and the second week of April is Dental Hygienists’ Week. On behalf of MCNA, thank you for the great dental care you provide and the positive impact you make on oral health in your community.

MCNA is excited to announce an enhancement to our system that allows providers to report when a member has missed a dental appointment. With this enhancement, MCNA continues to support your practice in the reduction of missed appointments. Read our provider bulletin to find out how.  

MCNA has adopted new Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs). Our approved CPGs can be downloaded from the "Support and Downloads" page in the Provider Portal, or from MCNA's website.

A new version of the Idaho Smiles Provider Manual is now available. You will find a summary of the changes in the Revision History located after the Contact Information section in the manual.

MCNA would like to inform you about changes to CDT service codes and their nomenclature that may affect your office. The American Dental Association’s (ADA’s) updates to service codes for 2024 went into effect on January 1, 2024. Please read our provider bulletin to learn more.

MCNA joins the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to present important information for your office about the requirements for general anesthesia. These updates pertain to prior authorizations for dental services planned to be performed in conjunction with general anesthesia. Please read our provider bulletin for full details.

MCNA joins the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to announce a fee increase for select CDT service codes covered by the Idaho Smiles Medicaid Dental program. This change is effective for dates of service starting on April 1, 2023, and forward. Please read our provider bulletin for more information.
